Love Theme from THE COMPETITION

映画「コンペティション 」は劇中に、モーツァルト，ベートーヴェン、ショパンからプロコフィエフや現代音楽までも聴く事が出来ます。そして主人公たちが、コンペティションを終えたあとに以降場所で流れているのが1980年代のリアル・ミュージックであるディスコ音楽。

クラシックのピアノ協奏曲が次から次へと聴いた後にディスコ音楽に興じる未来のピアニストたちの姿は、とても楽しい。エンディングがその姿にオーバーラップして終わりますが、タイトルロールで聴こえてくるのがランディ・クロフォードの“ PEOPLE ALONE ”。人々は孤独という標題がメッセージ的に感じられます。

コンペティション，コンクールは音楽を学んでいる人々に演奏家として活躍するチャンス、演奏会を開く試演をするためにあるものでプライズに輝いたことが総てではなくて、ここからがはじまりなんですよね。（DVD，オリジナル・サウンドトラックCD共に日本では現在、未発売）
